Thought I’d post a quick note tonight with a link to the website of one of my photographer friends. Crystal Petersen is a wedding, family, children, maternity, editorial, & commercial photographer in Placer County, California. We did a portrait session with Hannah Sunday evening. She posed great and even busted out a few dance moves. Here are a few of my favorite images.

Here are a few shots from Jason & Diana’s engagement shoot. It was a lot of fun running around with them downtown. We had really soft light and a perfect day. The warm weather we’ve had lately really gets you in the mood for spring..

I wanted to see some of Boston’s great neighborhoods tonight but the weather didn’t want to cooperate.  It rained all evening but I found an umbrella in the hotel closet and decided to brave it so I could see some more of the D3 in low light.  All of the images below are at ISO 6400.  There is a little noise, but the streets were really dark so I’m still impressed.

Rain is good for pics…

After a 4 hour layover in Houston, I finally made it to Boston. It’s my first time here, but the town is great so far. Thought I’d post a pic from the hotel window.

We had Bentley’s birthday party this past weekend. All the girls came as their favorite Disney princess. It’s unbelievable how fast time flies once you have kiddos. I can’t believe she’s already 3. Pretty cute Princess…

Got my first Nikon lens Friday and had a chance to play with the D3 this weekend. Here are a couple of shots inside the house to test the noise at high ISO. These were taken at ISO 6400 at f/2.8 - 160. They are straight out of the camera. The only thing I did was resize them. Low light with the D3 is pretty sweet.. For single guys, Friday nights are for dinner and a movie… For a 30 year old dad, there’s Photo Booth on the mac…. Wouldn’t change it for the world..
