• Welcome!

Hi!  My name is Justin Wesbrooks.  I'm an international wedding photographer from Amarillo, Texas.

This blog is used to show some of my work but also as a journal of my life.  Stop back whenever you can to see what's new.

I'm also on Facebook and Twitter and that's where updates happen more frequently.

It just takes time

We just planted our first tree at our new house. This was a tree that came up beside a big maple tree at my Mom and Dad’s house. We got the maple tree when I was a kid and it was about this size. Mom brought it to us a few weeks ago. So.. I guess by the time I’m 80 it will be big enough to enjoy:-) We’ll take a picture of Bentley by it every year to track it’s size.    She’s 4 right now.

Wedding – Riviera Maya, Mexico – Tim & Tracy

This past week I spent some time in the Riviera Maya, Mexico with Tim & Tracy. I’ve known them both for a while now so I was really glad I got the chance to shoot their wedding. The wedding was a nice beach-side ceremony. The weather was pretty nice, but I’m not used to the humidity. You walk out of your room and start sweating down there. No signs of swine flu or drug cartels though…. thank goodness.

Right in the middle of the wedding, a couple decided it would be good to walk down the beach behind the ceremony. Then they decided it would be good if they stopped in the water directly between the ceremony and the ocean. Go figure… You can see them in one of the pictures in the slideshow. Click on the image below to take a look at some of the images.

Thanks for including me in the wedding guys. It was a blast and I wish you guys all the best!

Summer Storms

Man… close call with some bad summer storms tonight.  Of course, after the storms pass through things always look great.  We had a great rainbow right after the storm went through and Bentley wanted to go out and play in the rain.

Wheeler, TX Wedding – Jessica & Adam

I got to shoot Jessica & Adam’s wedding in Wheeler this past weekend… barely.  When I left the house it was pouring rain.  I thought for sure it was going to get moved to the church.  But, when I got to Wheeler the weather was perfect.  I’m glad it worked out.  The wedding was a backyard wedding in a beautiful setting.  Click on the image below to see a slideshow of some of my favorites.
