Got my first Nikon lens Friday and had a chance to play with the D3 this weekend. Here are a couple of shots inside the house to test the noise at high ISO. These were taken at ISO 6400 at f/2.8 – 160. They are straight out of the camera. The only thing I did was resize them. Low light with the D3 is pretty sweet.. Justin, that baby rocks and the D3 is nice as well.
I am glad you are pleased with the camera, it will take 2 or 3 shoots to get used to the screen and th exposure etc but beyond that, wow you will be sweet.
