Family Portraits - Palo Duro Canyon

October 3rd, 2008

I love this place!  The sad thing is that it’s like 10 miles from my front door and we hardly ever go.  A lot of photographers here in the Amarillo area do portrait sessions at Thompson Park, medi-park and other pretty locations. I’ve been wanting to do something a little different so I’m planning a family portrait day at Palo Duro Canyon for Saturday, November 8th.  Portrait session fees will be waived for this day only so there’s no excuse for not having pictures of your family.  Call today to reserve your session. 800.260.9705. Fall Family Portraits - Canadian, TX

September 25th, 2008

I’ve a had quite a bit of interest by families over in the Canadian area about doing family portraits so we are going to do a portrait weekend October 24th & 25th.  For 2 days we are waiving the session fees!  This is a great opportunity to get that family portrait to hang above the fireplace or on a living room wall.  Canadian is beautiful this time of year.  Call today to reserve your session! 800.260.9705.

Amarillo Wedding - Jason & Diana

Amarillo Bridal Shoot - Diana

August 15th, 2008

Diana & Jason are getting married in a couple of weeks.  We ran around a little bit last weekend and did some bridals of Diana.  I didn’t think I’d be able to post them until after the wedding but Diana said she broke down and showed them to Jason.  So… she said it was ok to post.  It was really fun and I was really happy with the final images.  These are a few of my favorites…

Free To Succeed Tour…

August 1st, 2008

I spent the day in Dallas yesterday and decided to stop in on David Jay’s “Free To Succeed” tour. It’s really interesting to hear philosophies from some of the big names in the industry.  DJ seems to be a really genuine guy and Jasmine has one of those personalities that everyone in the room just gravitates to.  I also got a chance to catch up with my buddy Kenny Kim.  We had a good lunch and dinner and then Kenny had to head back to Chicago this morning and leave the tour so he crashed on the couch in my suite.  We had dinner late after the show so it was like 1:15 before I got to bed and I had to get up at 4:50 to catch a flight.  Man.. I’m getting too old for late nights like that… Kenny’s never without his camera so I robbed a couple pics from his blog…

Here’s a few of us on the tour bus after the show…

I met Tammy Marcelain out in Orange County a few months ago… It was good to see her again as well..

Comments…

July 23rd, 2008

Ok… so I just found out that it’s really painful to leave a comment on my blog.  After some investigation I figured out why and now I have it where you just have to leave you email address.  Sorry to everyone that’s been trying to comment (all 2 of you )

Family Portraits - The Buckinghams

July 8th, 2008

I had a chance to do some portraits for Bret & Tara this past weekend.  We’ve know them for a while and we had a really great time being with them.  Here are a couple of shots I liked from the shoot.  We did the whole “kill 2 birds with one stone” thing by getting family portraits, Brooklyn’s 4 year pics and a Christmas card pic of Brock & Brooklyn.

Brooklyn was really patient and I was able to get some really sweet shots of her…

The funny thing about this image is that I don’t remember what was so funny!

Right before we finished, Brooklyn was being really sweet to Tara so I took a few shots and got some good ones of the girls….

Ground Zero…

June 12th, 2008

While we were in New York, we visited ground zero.  There is a lot of new construction going on there in preparation for the new Freedom Tower.  From the ground, you don’t really feel the impact of it because of the construction.  We took a helicopter ride though and seeing it from the air is pretty humbling.  The NY skyline certainly will never look the same again.  You can definitely tell that something is missing.

Summer Fun

June 8th, 2008

We were at my parent’s house this weekend for my birthday and a water gun fight broke out.  The kids had a blast.  I thought it was a good chance to break out the camera.  Here’s a shot of a soaked Bentley.
